Lil Sparkler Celebration
Richfield's Lil' Sparkler Celebration is back with a bunch of great events to celebrate the 4th of July! The festivities start with the Medallion Hunt on June 28 (with clues posted at 9:00 am on 6/28, 6/29, and 6/30, or until the medallion is found). Then, on June 30, head over to the Richfield Band Shell in Veterans Park (park at the Ice Arena, 636 E 66th St) for Family Night. Attractions include food vendors (Mik Mart Ice Cream truck, Boppa's Popcorn Shack, and Yummy Tummy), vehicles on display from Richfield Police, Fire, and Public Works, and Academy of Holy Angels, a dance for kids, hosted by DJ Howie, Cosmic Skate at the Ice Arena, movie in the park (DC League of Super-Pets), and a laser light show at 10:45 pm!read more

City of Richfield raises seasonal pay rates to attract summer staff
Richfield's Recreation Services Department has a fun summer planned with a slew of special events, an outdoor pool with concessions, a playgrounds program for hundreds of area kids and more. With the snow quickly melting and Minnesotans start to think about spring, city leaders are now searching for those dozens of talented and capable individuals to be part of Richfield's seasonal staff.read more

New Legal Aid Kiosks Expand Access to Free Legal Help Throughout Minnesota
Richfield is excited to announce they have partnered with the Minnesota Legal Service Coalition, a provider of justice to low-income people throughout Minnesota, to help bridge the digital divide members of our community face. The city now has a kiosk available to provide free legal services to the community. With this technology, anyone can attend a Zoom court hearing, print, scan and submit legal documents for free and get online legal advice and connections to legal services using a dedicated system at no cost.read more

One of Richfield's largest and last-standing redevelopment parcels will soon be up for grabs as the city begins the process of looking for a future development partner and landowner. The 3.7 acre property, located in the northwest corner of I-494 and Highway 77 (Cedar Avenue), is the result of decades of work and a unique public-private partnership.read more

Grant funds now available for ongoing pandemic impacts
While the COVID-19 pandemic may feel ´over' to many, the lingering physical, economic and emotional impacts are still churning within the lives of many people in the community. With that understanding, the City of Richfield is making available $150,000 in federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds available for services and activities that help ease the negative impacts of COVID on our community.read more
