Wading Pool (10 and under): Daily, 11:00 am-7:00 pm
Main Pool: Daily, 12:00-7:00 pm
Adult Lap Swim: Sunday, 10:00-11:30 am, Tuesday/Thursday, 7:15-8:15 pm
Tot Time (ages 7 and under): Monday-Saturday, 10:00-11:00 am

DAILY ADMISSION *After 4:00 pm daily admission is $1 less.
Under 12 months: Free
Ages 1-54 years: $11
Ages 55+: $10
Weather Delay: $6 admission when pool opens after 3:00 pm due to weather
Lap swim: $8 or valid season pass

Passes can also be purchased at the pool bathhouse, beginning May 28.

RECREATION FEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (formerly Passport)

Apply to the new Recreation Fee Assistance Program, which provides a 50% discount to eligible Richfield residents and awards families a $50 credit per member if they meet the requirements for financial assistance. Complete the online application.


SWIM LESSONS
Swim lessons are available and offered by Richfield Community Education at the Richfield Middle School pool. To learn more about swim lessons or to sign up, visit the Richfield Community Education website or call 612-243-3000.

POOL RULES
• Obey all rules and lifeguard instructions.
• Children 9 years and under must be accompanied by an adult or a responsible person 16 or older.
• No alcohol or tobacco allowed on grounds
• No pets  
• No outside food/coolers.
• Food purchases will remain in concession area.
• Swimsuits are required in the pool and on waterslide.  (No cut-offs, denim, T-shirts).
• Infants and toddlers must wear swim diapers.  NO REGULAR DIAPERS ARE ALLOWED.
• Must be 42” tall to ride waterslide alone.
• Must be able to swim width of the diving well to use diving boards and drop slide. A swim test may be required.

Carboard Boat Race Rules

Get your ship in shape for the 2024 POOLAPALOOZA CARDBOARD BOAT RACES!
 
Put your shipbuilding skills to the test and set sail at the Richfield Poolapalooza Cardboard Boat Races on Saturday, July 20, 2:00 pm, at the Richfield Pool. Pre-registration is required; there is no charge. Visit the Pool web page for complete rules and a link to register (richfieldmn.gov/pool). SPACES ARE LIMITED AND FILLING FAST!
 
Build a boat out of cardboard and bring it to the race, where you'll race for 50 meters in heats of five boats or less. Please review the rules on the Richfield Pool web page to ensure that your boat isn't disqualified! Prizes will include season passes and daily passes to the pool. Pre-registration is required online; the event is free. Bon voyage and good luck, captain!!

RULES:

1. Boat design and construction
a. Boats must be made BEFORE THE RACE
b. Boats must be made ONLY of cardboard and duct tape. NO reinforced cardboard tubes, only broken–down cardboard boxes.
c. Cardboard cannot be sealed with any paint or sealants.
d. Duct tape may be of varying colors, but must have come manufactured in that color.
e. Boats may be a maximum width of 60” (5 ft.) and a maximum length of 84” (7ft).
f. There is no maximum height requirement.
g. Boats must be completely enclosed, or permit the crew to remain fully on top of the vessel (NO dangling extremities)
h. Boats must be propelled by the use of paddles and/or hands while seated in the boat.
i. Paddles must meet the same construction requirements as the boats (cardboard and duct tape only)
j. If any illegal items used in construction are discovered during the pre – or post –race inspection, the boat will be disqualified.
2. Race Format
a. Swimming and/or pulling the boat, or the use of the wall or other boats will result in disqualification.
b. Heats will consist of, at most, 5 boats at a time.
c. Each boat will travel 50 meters.
d. Time from heats will determine placement for finals. The fastest times from each heat will race in the boating championship. (if no boat makes it across, winners will be determined by the furthest distance traveled)
3. Prizes
a. 2nd and 3rd place will win 5 daily admission passes.
b. 1st place will win a 2024 season pool pass.

ABOUT US
The Richfield Outdoor Pool features a zero-depth-entry children's wading pool with water play equipment, a 50-meter main pool (built in 1961) with wheelchair access ramp, double waterslide, one-meter diving board, water volleyball and two 25-yard lap lanes. The concession stand has a wide variety of food and beverages and features a sit-down area with umbrella-covered tables.  The bathhouse was rebuilt in 2006.
