FILING FOR HOMESTEAD
Homeowners purchasing a new or existing home, who occupy their home as their principal residences, may qualify for the homestead classification.

The City of Richfield no longer processes homesteading applications. Residents interested in homesteading their property should fill out Hennepin County's electronic homesteading application at:  https://www.hennepin.us/homestead

Questions about homesteading can be directed to Charles Clark Jr., Hennepin County Assessor’s Office. Mr. Clark can be contacted by calling 612-348-4029 or emailing Charles.ClarkJr@hennepin.us.

The deadline to file for homestead is noon, December 1.
