Not a runner, but still want to be involved in the Urban Wildland Half Marathon & 5K? 
We'd love to have you as a volunteer!  Below are the many important volunteer positions that contribute to the success of the UWHM5K.

Volunteer Job Descriptions

Race Packet Pickup (day before race):  Hand out runner materials and assign bibs. Needed the day before the race (Friday, July 26), for a 2-3 hour shift between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm at the Richfield Band Shell. 
Packet Pickup (race day):  Hand out runner materials and assign bibs. Held on race day, 5:45-7:15 am in front of the ice arena. 
Parking Lot Attendants:  Assist runners with parking at the Veterans Park main lot (direct cars away from Farmers Market lot and to on-street parking when Arena lot is full). Race day, 5:30-7:00 am. 
Course Marshals:  Adults with cell phones at locations along course route to guide and monitor runners.  Must arrive at station between 6:45 – 7:30 am, depending on location.
Finish Line:  Assist runners, hand out finisher medals, and direct people to the food and beverage area, rest rooms, or medical personnel. Begins at 7:00 am.
Beverages:  Fill cups with water and sports drink and keep tables stocked.  Begins at 7:00 am.
Food:  Keep food table stocked.  Begins at 6:00 am.
Spectators!  Cheer on runners and show your support along the course route. Pick a spot near your home or school. People needed especially along 70th Street.
