Wood Lake has nature exploration backpacks that families can check out for free. Backpack themes include:

  • Birding exploration (year round)
  • Forest exploration (year round)
  • Prairie insect exploration (Spring, Summer, Fall)
  • Marsh insect exploration (Spring, Summer, Fall)
  • Winter exploration (Winter)
Check out one of the nature exploration backpacks at the front desk at Wood Lake Nature Center between Monday-Saturday 9-4pm and Sunday 12:30-4 pm to get you on your way!
