MORRIE'S JAGUAR LAND ROVER

Morrie's Automotive Group proposes to construct a new automobile dealership for Jaguar and Land Rover on the site currently occupied by Adler Graduate School. The proposal will be reviewed by the Planning Commission at a public hearing on October 23. City Council consideration would tentatively follow on November 14.

DUNKIN DONUTS - 6529-6545 PENN AVENUE

The property owner proposes to demolish the CarHop building at 6529 Penn Avenue and construct a convenience restaurant with drive-thru service. Modifications to adjacent properties are included in this request. The proposal will be reviewed by the Planning Commission at a public hearing on September 25. City Council consideration would tentatively follow on October 10.

THE CHAMBERLAIN

Inland Development Partners has proposed 284 housing units spread across 3 new apartment buildings, along with the renovation of 33 housing units in 3 existing apartment buildings along Cedar Avenue. In conjunction with the project, Richfield Parkway will be extended south of the roundabout at 66th Street, through the development down to 68th Street. The Planning Commission held a public hearing to review the proposal on August 28, 2017. PLAZA 66 - 1601 66TH STREET EAST

Interstate Partners plans to construct a 10,000 square foot retail and restaurant building with a drive-thru. The development is located on 66th Street, between 16th Avenue and Richfield Parkway. The proposal was approved by the City Council in Spring 2017.

PANERA BREAD - THE SHOPS AT LYNDALE

A new Panera Bread restaurant with a drive thru is planned on the site of the former Don Pablos restaurant at The Shops at Lyndale.  The project was approved by the City Council in April 2017 and is anticipated to begin construction later this year.

CEDAR POINT COMMONS ADDITION - 66TH STREET & RICHFIELD PARKWAY

Hempel Companies is building 14,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space on formerly vacant land at Cedar Point Commons. Two buildings (approximately 7,000 square feet each) are currently under construction. Approved by the City Council in August 2016. A day care center serving up to 180 children is planned for the northern end of the site (SW corner of Richfield Parkway and 65th Street), subject to final approval by the Community Development Department.

MESABA SENIOR HOUSING - 76TH STREET & PILLSBURY AVENUE

Mesaba Capital Development is developing an 88-unit assisted living facility on the former Richfield Public Works Garage site. Groundbreaking for the project was held in July 2017.

VILLAGE SHORES RENOVATION - 66TH STREET & LYNDALE AVENUE

E.J. Plesko & Associates is currently renovating the mixed-use building to include an additional 50 assisted-living housing units and remodeling 16,000 square feet of commercial space for a Hennepin County Medical Center (HCMC) Clinic. AUDI OF RICHFIELD - 77TH STREET EAST & 14TH AVENUE

In April 2015, International Autos Group received City Council approvals to construct a new Audi dealership in the 494 / 77th Street corridor. The property consists of four parcels: 1400, 1420 and 1500 E 78th St and 7711 14th Avenue - the sites of the former Airport Bowl, Backyard Grill, Ace Car Rental, and 2nd Wind Exercise Equipment. Demolition of the existing structures took place in late 2015 and construction of the Audi facility commenced in early 2016.

LYNDALE GARDENS LAKESIDE AMENITIES

 SHERIDAN VILLAS TOWNHOMES - SHERIDAN AVENUE & 76TH STREET

Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation developed five attached townhomes for sale, ranging in size from 1,565 to 3,054 square feet. Approved by the City Council in July 2015.7601 Sheridan

RICHFIELD BLOOMINGTON HONDA AND MITSUBISHI - 401 & 501 WEST 77TH STREET

In June 2013, Richfield Bloomington Honda gained City Council approval to expand their automobile dealership business. The project includes new buildings for Honda and Mitsubishi on a 132,600 square foot automobile dealership and service campus. Mitsubishi opened for business in 2014, followed by Honda in 2015. A BMW Motorcycle dealership was added to the site in 2017.

MAACO - 6244 CEDAR AVENUE

In April 2015, Maaco received City Council approvals to convert the former Zerorez building into an auto-body repair and painting facility. In 2017, Adogo Pet Hotels joined Maaco at the property, taking over the northern portion of the building.

LAKEWINDS NATURAL FOODS CO-OP - 6420 LYNDALE AVENUE

In early 2013, the City Council approved a mixed-use development on the site of the former Lyndale Garden Center that included a multi-story apartment building, retail/restaurant space, and lakeside amenities. As part of the development, Lakewinds Natural Foods opened a 25,000 square foot co-op on the southern portion of the site in summer 2014. The residential development is anticipated to re-apply for land use approvals in 2018, as prior approvals have since expired.

LYNDALE PLAZA - 6401 LYNDALE AVENUE

The four-story, 93-unit apartment building welcomed its first residents in late 2012, replacing an aging one-story commercial building. The building has been fully leased since opening.

LYNDALE STATION PHASE I - 6501-6545 LYNDALE AVENUE

The 72,000 square foot retail development opened in 2012, replacing a former Kmart store.  Lyndale Station features LA Fitness as an anchor tenant and 19,200 square feet of additional retail space in an adjacent building. Retail tenants in Phase I include Firehouse Subs, Planned Parenthood, Salon Concepts, and Von Hanson's Meats. In mid-2014, the City Council approved the final phase of the Lyndale Station development, consisting of a 8,200 square foot multi-tenant retail building at the corner of Lyndale Avenue and 66th Street. Tenants include Caribou Coffee / Einstein Bros Bagels, My Burger, Waxing the City, Great Clips and Cricket Wireless.
