If you answer yes to any of those questions, drop off your renewal in our locked water bills drop box (located on the left side of the entrance in the Richfield Municipal Center). This can be done at anytime of the day or night!
Starting March 29, 2018, The City of Richfield Motor Vehicle Office will have a drop box available for vehicle registration renewals for those with their renewal notice and paying by check. All information must be filled out to process the renewal (instructions located on the drop box). The box will be emptied at 4:30 every day and pickup available at 12:00 p.m. on the following business day. A signature is required for pickup. If you would like the registration stickers returned via mail, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.

Motor Vehicle License Registration and Title Transactions
Insurance information must be provided at the time of registration renewal, title transfer, or application for new Minnesota title/registration. We do not need to view the insurance card, but need policy number and full expiration date (mm/dd/yyyy).

For faster service, forms can be filled out before arriving to our office. Forms can be found at the State of Minnesota DVS Website. The most popular forms are:
- Duplicate Title (If applying for a lost, stolen, or not received title)
- Duplicate Plates and/or Stickers (If applying for a lost, stolen, or not received plates or year stickers)
- Special Plates (If applying for Critical Habitat, Collegiate, Military, Veteran, Disability, or Personalized plates)
- Renewal of registration and transfer of ownership for watercraft, ATV's, and snowmobiles
- Hunting and fishing licenses
